  • The Middle East is generally considered the geographic region stretching from Algeria to Iran, including both North Africa and West Asia. It is home to most of the Muslim nations and the most revered Muslim holy sites (though not the greatest centers of Muslim population, which are found in southern and southeastern Asia). It is the source of much of the world's oil and has been the site of numerous wars.
  • We encounter great diversity within Islam and so need to adapt our methods to each segment of society. At the moment, our strategy is to make many contacts and develop relationships with people who show spiritual hunger. Alongside this, we advertise in the regional papers, encouraging people to visit our web-site that recounts the words of Jesus. Literature, Bibles, Jesus films and Christian music have also been distributed. A new focus lately has been on finding and meeting the felt needs of the people. The local fellowship is small but growing.
  • Footholds in the Middle East are difficult to maintain. A new vision, however, has initiated a thrust into a country where we have never had workers. A single lady has entered as a student and others hope to follow. The right personnel and suitable visa platforms are needed.
